This essay will aim at understanding the feminist arguments and disagreements on the various places, channels, agencies as well as forms of gender power. It will be based on feminist theories such as those of MacKinnon, Pateman and Moller-Okin, and will analyse how they relate to different conceptualizations of power, using Dahl, Lukes and Foucaults' approaches.

This essay examines the defensibility of Rawls' second principle of justice -social and economic inequalities should benefit the least advantaged members of society- on the ground of two critiques that were made to his argument: Harsanyi's utilitarism and Arneson's choice/circumstance distinction.
