Lecture Notes on GIS DATA SOURCES, DATA INPUT METHODS, and DATA QUALITY
The notes were prepared for GIS 221 course offered at the University of Fort. This part of the course aims to expose students to various concepts on GIS data sources including definitions, classifications, geoportals and factors for data acquisition. Afterwards, various methods used to obtain data from these sources are explored. The section closes with in depth analysis of errors inherent in data sources and those introduced during data input.
